Right: The extension to this kitchen in Cambuslang, Glasgow was built on with the new floor several centimetres lower than the existing building. The customer had also found the worktops of the German kitchen units to be too high for comfortable use.  We screeded the entire floor and created a shallow ramp running from the higher old floor to the new extension floor over a few metres to hide the change in levels and then overlined the entire floor with 2 layers of 12mm and 6mm plywood before installing the 3mm Karndean LVT planks so raising the entire floor by 21mm.  The customer reported she found the worktops far more accessible after the work was completed.
