We recently installed Altro Timbersafe at this Bield Sheltered Housing complex in Glasgow. Timbersafe is a new product, a sheet vinyl floorcovering offering the tough and easy to maintain surface of vinyl with the attractive appearance of a wood floor. In this area were incontinence is a severe problem carpet was not an option and yet a homely appearance was required. The sheet vinyl offers slip-resistance and with heat welded joints and the perimeter sealed with a mastic sealant it also provides a safe and hygenic floor surface creating a pleasing and attractive interior with no odour problems or slip hazards.
Spillages can be easily spotted and mopped up by staff.
