The entrance hall, corridors and dining room, and the office (below) were laid in Karndean Knight Tile, wood effect vinyl flooring. This is a cheap, effective alternative to real wood or laminate, offering a quiet, tough and easy to maintain surface. There is also no need for any expansion joints around the skirtings and, as it is only 2mm thick, a level finish is easily achieved with the bathroom vinyl (bottom centre) thus eliminating the need for metal trims at the doors.
The Conservatory, above, was laid in a Knight Tile Range marble effect tile providing a surface which is warmer and quieter than ceramic or stone. The tiles were laid with a high temperature adhesive to prevent shrinking which can happen with the variation in temperature often experienced in conservatory areas.
In the bedrooms (below) and the living room of the care unit we laid JHS 80% wool / 20% nylon twist-pile carpet on a quality rubber underlay to create a homely, welcoming environment.
The carpet is available in 30, 40 & 50 ounce pile weights. We can also offer a range of impervious backed carpets for incontinence areas.
